Session Description:

Many water quality activities are driven by the goals of the Clean Water Act. However, many at the state and local level are also undertaking activities that protect drinking water sources, in partnership with clean water, agriculture, and other programs. This session is intended to facilitate information sharing and identification of opportunities to gain multiple benefits, including public health protection through protecting drinking water sources. A variety of perspectives will be represented both on the panel and in the audience. We welcome everyone dealing with the many facets of water quality protection to join this session for a dialogue of successes, challenges, and needs. The panel members will present brief summaries about their perspectives of managing water quality, particularly protecting sources of drinking water. The organizers of this session want to initiate a continuing dialogue that will lead to new collaborative efforts to protect water quality.
