Objectives
Writing a certified nutrient management plan will require attendance
at several training sessions. In the RUSLE/PLAT Session, which
includes both classroom and field instruction, you will:
- Learn how to estimate soil erosion using the USDA-Natural Resource
Conservation Service's Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE).
- Learn the theory behind the Phosphorus Loss Assessment Tool (PLAT)
as well as the practical application of PLAT.
- Learn how to use the PLAT computer tool.
The PLAT computer tool will be distributed to each participant.
