Specialty: Waste Management

Extension programs in the area of waste and by-product application to soils/cropping systems. Specific areas include animal waste management, land application of municipal and industrial residuals, by-products, and composts, and spray irrigation of waste materials. Program area includes development of training and recertification programs in the above named areas of expertise. Activities include field assistance to agents and operators of land-based waste management systems in system maintenance, operation, and nutrient management plans. Co-leader of Land Application Training and Demonstration Center.
