Specialty: On-Site Waste Disposal

Research and extension programs are directed toward evaluation and improvement of on-site sewage treatment and disposal technologies. Improved techniques are being developed for assessment of sites for soil-based waste treatment systems and for assessment of the impacts of on-site system management upon system performance. Evaluation of suitability of sites for waste disposal systems are based on morphology, genesis, and classification of soils.
