Specialty: Soil-Environmental Relations

Current research programs that have been developed and are continuing include: (1) effect of agricultural and forestry and various Best Management Practices on quality of water draining from watersheds; (2) water management to increase yields and minimize nonpoint source pollution; (3) effectiveness of riparian wetlands and other vegetative filters for improving quality of agricultural drainage waters; (4) nitrogen transformations in soils and drainage waters.
