There are many specific ways to get involved in helping to keep the Walnut Creek wetlands clean. Each spring and fall there is a community-organized clean up. This is a great way to get to know the residents of Rochester Heights and a first step towards becoming actively involved in cleaning up the environment. Another way to help is to get involved with Partners for Environmental Justice (PEJ). PEJ began in 1995 and is led by Dr. Norman Camp. PEJ is working to keep Walnut Creek clean and to prevent the flooding that affects Rochester Heights.
