What Does My Soil Test Report Tell Me?
Nutrients Reported as Index Values
The plant nutrients measured in an NCDA soil test are reported in units known as index values.
Index values can be used as a means of predicting soil fertility levels or potential heavy metal toxicities.
Essentially, the index system was developed to relate soil fertility levels to the likelihood of a crop yield increase resulting from a fertilizer application.
