SSC 541 Soil Fertility
Fall semester of every year

Objective:
To understand how soil conditions affect plant growth and the relations between soil chemistry and fertilizers. Emphasis is placed on factors affecting availability of nutrients and methods of measuring nutrient availability.

Prerequisite:
Previous exposure to soil nutrient management concepts via an undergraduate course

Grading:
two hour exams, final exam and three take home exercises with the Nutrient Management Support System software
